Now that's a real shame, I imagine some of the vendors have lost everything. Hope no one was killed or hospitalised.

One thing struck me as odd/amusing, though. The lettering on the fire truck said "Donated by the P.R. China" in English. WTF? Khmer was too hard for them? Why should English-speaking visitors care about where the fire truck came from, surely it's far more important to the local Khmers and Viets?

Perhaps the whole donation affair was a calculated PR move to impress the Western NGOs?
