Hi Sihanoukville  Smiley

I will arrive in Phnom Penh at the end of next week, stay there for a few days and then head to Snooky. I have been to PP before but never been to Snooky.

I was thinking of staying at The Holiday Palace, but is the place friendly towards visitors? And the location, on a map its look like its a bit away from the action... Another option would be Golden Sand.

Anyone who reconmend any of these hotels or any in similar price range.

Yes The Holiday Palace and Casino is ok...

Close to Victory Hill ...good nightime place

It is well appointed and no problems with ladies...

Golden Sands is closer to the most popular beach...

and the beach has great (IMO) night-time action ...

Snooky has every type of hotel...

Im sure you will have a great time...

go to the Freedom Bar and you will meet anyone floating around

Both places can be recommended as Dacah says, both are guest friendly and offer Room Service and the usual Hotel 'extras'.

The Holiday Palace is close to Victory Hills bar and Restaurant area, you'll still need to get a moto though as I wouldn't advise walking during the night time hours.

A good choice of food is available on Victory Hill, French, Italian, Indian & Thai, as well as 'general' western and Khmer food are catered for.

Two of the bars are especially lively, The Bonobo Bar and the Tropicana, they are situated in the middle of the and opposite sides of the road, can't miss them.

Down at the Golden Sands, you are close to the Golden Lion Plaza Beer Bar Complex, whilst this place is relatively quiet, it's a decent place to drink. Two of the Bars, Pacino's and The Shipwreck can get pretty lively though with a decent number of girls and customers. This is the quiet season though, so things can be a little 'hit and miss'.

Again, food isn't a problem near the Golden Sands, Italian, Thai, Greek and Barbeque food is all within walking distance.

As Dacah mentions, O'chheuteal Beach is only a few minutes walk away. Certainly the most popular Daytime and Night time destination. After 2am, the Dolphin Shack is the 'only' place to go.

Thanks for the info

I thought that many hotels incl. Golden Sand was not girl friendly, but apparantly not.

Thanks again.
