A few friends visited Sihanoukville during the Songkran festivities, unfortunately one of them had left the booking of a hotel to the last minute. I therefore had to scooter around town trying to find somewhere with a vacancy on the morning of his arrival, not an easy task.
None of the Hotels near Occheuteal had available rooms, neither did any of the 'town centre' ones that I visited ..... then I tried the Kangaroo Kitchen, only a stones throw from the Bus Station.
One of the Partners, Gary, said they did have a room free and I took a quick look and was more than satisfied by the size and cleanliness of the place. The bar too, is an excellent place with friendly staff and very good food.
The only room free was a $25 dollar room with bath, they do have rooms with shower for only $15 dollars though ...... my friend stayed for four days and definately gave it the the thumbsup!
