Paid a visit to Kampot last week ...... it was closed.
Actually, I liked the place. Little bit strange having just about everywhere close at 9pm, those seeking a frantic nightlife should probably look elsewhere.
Managed to find a couple of bars open though, one of which was Bar Red. Recently changed its name from "Comfortably Numb", though I think it's the same owner.
Drank there until the very early / late hours and had a pretty good time. The owner (Steve?) is a 'mine' of information and produces the almost monthly Kampot Survival Guide. A 'black and white' A5 sized publication that is distributed around the town.
Great, friendly bar and a great publication (some funny stuff in there!) ....... it's now online at
