hi,
could you please tell me if i should get an E-visa (a tourist one). i have looked on this site, and i am not clear on whether it is a good idea to get one before i come. If not how long does it take to get one when you arrive, it will be peak season when i arrive in december, and will be arriving in phnom phen airport. Just didnt want to have to wait ages after a long haul flight, and anything that makes it easier to get through the airport would be most welcome. Do you need a separate one for arrival and departure? sorry if i sound stupid, but have never been to cambodia before.

I have never used an e-visa....

The visa does not take long at the airport...just make sure you have a passport sized

photo with you and if you are from europe ..$20

you need to fill out a form for your visa and a form for

the customs...these will be given to you on the aircraft..

generally 10/15 minutes and your out of the airport.

As Dacah says, the queue at the airport, to me, doesn't justify getting the e-visa. At the land borders, it may save the hassle / rip offs though.

Remember also, that there is a 25 dollar departure tax when you fly out of Phnom Penh.

Get one, you miss the scrum at the airport, and you do not get a page of your passport taken with the visa.

Yes  ,  get a E Visa , it can be quite a scrum and a slow process to get one .
It gets passed along a line of officials 6 or 7 in total from memory

I guess adammike & arjay could be right, for the sake of an extra 5 bucks it's probably worth it if it's going to save a page in your passport (didn't realise that!) and avoid the possibility of a big queue. Smiley
