The last couple of times I have been in Cambo I have made trips to Kampot and Kep..

First time... I went for a day trip and picnic...didnt know what to expect..

The second time I decided to stay a few days...

I really liked Kep...

Some people say its a bit boring...nothing to do...

Well thats one of the reasons I like the place..

There are some good hotels and one really excellent place

Also the food in the area is excellent...

If you like crab..there is a large crab market

There are also some ruins to check out..not Angkor ones ..

60s and 70s...

In fact if anyone knows how to buy these ruins ...

I would be very interested

I am going down there again in a few weeks..

If anyone on the board lives down there

Would love to meet them

This is the abandoned  Kings pad in Kep...

A couple of the patios..

and what must be one of the finest car ports in the world...

the irregular sides are made of a type of scagiola

Fantastic design that I have really not captured ...need to declutter first !!!!

The "old bridge" in Kampot...

up near the "new bridge" is Ta Ouv ...the best local fish restaurant ..

as with all these places...the locals eat at 6pm

get there later and your choice of fish is not great

The 1960s ? disused central market...

must have been a triving town to support this size ..

now used to store the long boats that are used for racing on the river...
