Sorry to hear of your experience Desmond, but I will say that my report was written just over 1 year ago.

I’ll be honest, I don’t visit there myself that much anymore and I have heard reports that the breakfast isn’t quite what it used to be. As for having pets around any establishment that deals with food, well for me it’s simply wrong.

I will add that I personally have not had any experiences with Snooky’s that would make me not eat there, it’s just that there is so much competition now that restaurants need to serve consistent quality food as a minimum. The better venues are actually raising their game.

Read the section on the forum that deals with the recent award given by the Sihanoukville Breakfast Club ……. I will add that I have no affiliation with this group.

Hi Casper,
Regarding Snookies restaurant in Sihanoukville. You forgot to mention the piles of dog shit left by the Pitbull owned by the owner of the place. Shit everywhere. Inside, outside, everywhere. Tell the guy to get rid of the damn animal before I go there again. The place is filthy. No self respecting human being would think about staying there let alone eat the food.

Been 20 days at Beach Club during XMas and new year holydays.
Nothing wrong, everything was excellent.Warmly recommend this hotel to anyone.
Ideal for families w/children.Bar and restaurant overpriced but good.

Hi Paul, the plaza has really developed this season and it’s definitely ‘on the map’ now as far as local watering holes go.

As of this week, all but one of the bars are open, there are actually a couple of the bars for sale though …….. best thing to do, is when you hit town just look me up and i’ll be more than happy to give you the low down on what’s available.

Have to say that a few things have changed at The Small Green Guesthouse …… the Friday night buffet is now $8 dollars, though it does include a ‘free’ beer.

Additionally though, a number of people have felt that both good service and the friendliness of the event have all but gone.

Based on recent experience, I really can’t back up Raymonds actions in anyway.

Interesting in LOW season I asked for a room with a fan at $10.00. Raymond told me he could not accomodate for he was tired of loosing money. A fan room at $10? Rally now? I had payrf the $15 other times and always ate the food…. seems like a stupid move on his part… especially when he had 8 empty rooms.

Virack, I can confirm that in no way was any part of the above post a ‘lie’, I was there on a number of occasions when a senior female khmer member of your staff / management approached girls and told them to stop dancing and leave the dancefloor.

As I have said elsewhere on the site, this practice seems to have halted now, but certainly at the time of writing it was 100% true.
